Nissan Motorsport Winton Wrap Up

The ACS sponsored Nissan Motorsport team continued their strong and consistent finishes at the Winton SuperSprint with a 10th place finish for Michael Caruso and a 14th place for Dale Wood.

The team performed exceptionally in qualifying with Michael Caruso starting the race in 5th position, showing the potential of the Nissan Altima V8 Supercar. Caruso now sits 10th in the championship with fellow Nissan driver Rick Kelly in 9th position.
Caruso was disappointed with the race result having had high expectations given the exceptional performance in qualifying.

“It was a strange race for us. It was a combination of a few things in that we couldn’t pit as early as the others unfortunately, plus we probably didn’t have the pace today. It’s disappointing because we did qualify so well. It’s strange for us to lose places in a race. We’ll work harder than ever and come back in Darwin.”
