Strong Finish for Nissan Motorsport at Ipswich

The ACS sponsored Nissan Motorsport team came home with a fourth place result in race 17 of the championship at the Ipswich SuperSprint. #23 Nissan Altima driver, Michael Caruso, took home the fourth place result after strong results in both Townsville and Darwin.

"It was a fantastic comeback after yesterday, we knew we had the car to be up the front, so it’s really rewarding to nearly walk away with a podium. After qualifying strongly, we moved up to sixth early in the race and battled our way up to third position. We just didn’t have enough to hold onto the podium, but we’ll keep fighting from here on." says Caruso. The strong result in Queensland moves Caruso to seventh in the championship and the highest placed Nissan.

The #23 Nissan Altima also had a new livery for the weekend to celebrate the launch of the new GT Academy competition where users of the racing video game Gran Turismo compete for the opportunity to race for Nissan in real life.
