Australian Clutch Services Launch DCT Tool Hire Program

Australian Clutch Services have introduced a Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) tool hire program to support this growing market in Australia. This program has been specifically developed to support workshops looking to expand their income stream and take on DCT clutch assembly replacement jobs but have been put-off by the high cost of specialised tools required for the removal and installation process.

For several years, ACS have been growing their range of both wet and dry DCT replacement clutch components under their ClutchPro brand and now offer an extensive range of replacement clutch assembly units, gearbox repair kits, flywheels and specialised removal and installation tools.

The tool hire program includes some of the most common vehicle specific and universal DCT clutch installation and removal tools and is available with the purchase of any applicable DCT clutch kit through ACS’ nationwide distribution network. The only cost associated with the hire program is a small handling fee and the tools come sealed from ACS, ready to be used by the workshop.

“We have been working on our DCT range for a number of years now and can supply both wet and dry style replacement clutch kits and components for these transmissions,” says Brenton Jordan, ACS Managing Director. “We have also been working hard to deliver technical support information for these applications and have several videos available on YouTube that step through the installation process for many common applications. The addition of the tool hire program allows workshops that may have been put-off by the cost and complexity of these jobs, to introduce this service into their businesses without incurring the significant cost of the vehicle specific tools. We hope this will help to open up this market to a range of workshops throughout the country. With these transmissions quickly becoming more and more common throughout the Australian car parc, it is a great area for workshops to look at for service expansion.”

ACS offer replacement kits and tools for vehicles such as VW, Ford, Audi, Renault and Hyundai to name a few. Despite the significant range already on offer, ACS are working to further develop their offering with the introduction of mechatronics units and transmission service components. “We are still developing our DCT offering for the Australasian market,” explains Mr Jordan, “We have several exciting new additions coming to the range very shortly and we continue to invest in this product line to support our distribution network around the world.”
