CLUTCH TECH: Ford Ranger PX Clutch Damper Failure Diagnosis

The factory hydraulic clutch damper on Ford Ranger PX models has been identified as a common failure point which can cause the pedal to slowly lose pressure, a complete and sudden loss of pedal pressure or issues with bleeding the system.

If you are experiencing any of these issues, it is important to check the damper and pipework for cracking, weeping or leaking. The damper and associated pipe work are located close to the firewall behind the engine.

These components are available from Australian Clutch Services under part numbers HLFD001 and HLFD002. Please check our online catalogue to confirm fitment for your vehicle or contact us if you require any further assistance on compatibility or technical support.
