ACS Introduce Torque Capacities to Online Catalogue

Australian Clutch Services have recently introduced a torque rating section to their online catalogue system for over 1,000 part numbers. The torque ratings have been included to help distributors and end consumers in their clutch kit selection.

The torque ratings offer a guide for the clutch kit most suited to the vehicle’s performance goals, and although this should not be the only consideration to make when choosing a clutch, it is helpful in the selection process.

“We encourage users to utilise the torque rating guide when making their clutch kit selection.” Says Brenton Jordan, Australian Clutch Services managing director, “The torque ratings should never be the only consideration made when choosing a clutch kit, but it is important to keep these ratings in mind as a guide for their selection.”

Other considerations to be made should be the primary use of the vehicle, modifications made and future performance goals. “It is vital to ensure that customers consider their performance goals and vehicle applications before choosing a clutch kit” says Australian Clutch Services mechanical engineer, Stewart Furze, “The torque ratings are a great addition to the catalogue and allows the customer to gain a greater understanding of the potential benefits in upgrading the clutch kit.”
