Heavy Duty Upgrade Clutch Lines Now Available From ACS

Australian Clutch Services is pleased to offer a new range of heavy duty braided clutch lines designed specifically to upgrade standard, rubber clutch lines in a variety of vehicles.

The lines are designed to include a metal braid covered with a protective outer sleeve which makes the line significantly stronger, less prone to cuts from foreign objects and they also have the added benefit of not flexing as the pressure builds up within them. This creates a better pedal feel compared to the original rubber lines.

The ACS range of braided clutch lines has been developed in-house after extensive research to produce the perfect sized line for a wide variety of 4WD vehicles. “Ensuring we have the correct fittings and dimensions for specific vehicles is critical.” Says Brenton Jordan, ACS Managing Director, “We produce these lines in-house on our own machinery, allowing us to develop these lines to match the OE fittings whilst also ensuring the correct lengths.” The lines are supplied with stainless steel fittings for durability and have been developed for installation without modification.

The lines are currently available to suit a range of popular 4WD vehicles including the Nissan Navara D22, D40 and NP300, Ford Ranger PK, Holden Colorado RG, Mitsubishi Triton MQ, Toyota LandCruiser VDJ79 as well as the Toyota Hilux KUN16, 26 and 36.

ACS recommends checking the original lines for damage to avoid the line failing during operation. “We recommend that all mechanics inspect the hydraulic lines when replacing a clutch”, says Mr Jordan, “It is much easier to replace one of these lines when the clutch and transmission is out of the vehicle and makes sense to replace the line when working on the clutch hydraulics.”

The latest range of braided lines add to an existing range of specialist performance upgrade braided line kits available from ACS. “We have been manufacturing braided lines for many years now, mostly for installation of specialised conversion hydraulic components in our performance brands. We also offer a popular range of bleeder line extensions which make bleeding the hydraulics a much easier task.”
